Run Mate – the relay running race around the stunning Lake Geneva - is ready for its 3rd edition from September 25-26, 2021. Participants will once again have the chance to run in teams around the majestic Lake Geneva for two days and one night. They will enjoy an incredible sunset and sunrise experience as well as discovering the vast historical and cultural heritage along the shores of Central Europe’s largest lake.

The town of Pully will once again host the start and finish of the event in the idyllic setting of ‘Pully-Plage’. With its feet in the water and its head in the shade of the Jorat forests, Pully enjoys a privileged location between Lausanne and the vineyards of Lavaux, offering a spectacular setting for Run Mate participants.

"We are delighted that Pully can, for the second year in a row, be the host town for Run Mate, a convivial event for running lovers who want to surpass themselves in a wonderful setting," said the Municipality of Pully.

In 2020, despite the health crisis, Run Mate was able to organise an exceptional event, thanks to a ‘Covid-compatible’ concept and an adapted system. A strict health protocol will remain in place this year, to protect all those involved in the event.

Benjamin Chandelier, Event Director, said: "We are very happy to launch the third edition of Run Mate. Pully has given us its trust and support for a second time, and we are very grateful.

Run Mate is an atypical event, a real human adventure that allows participants to challenge themselves in a sensational universe while sharing a unique experience around running. The year 2020 was difficult, but we managed to organise an event that brought together many groups of friends, colleagues, sports clubs and families, while respecting health regulations.

The 2021 edition looks set to be even better and we are looking forward to providing our participants with another outstanding experience.

We would like to thank our partners, our volunteers, the Cantons of Vaud, Geneva and Valais as well as the Haute-Savoie department. We would particularly like to thank the commune of Pully as well as all the communes we pass through, especially Evian-les-Bains, Meinier and Aubonne, which are hosting a great relay point.”

Registration is open and a special launch price is available until midnight on 14 Aprilhttp://www.runmate.org/en/
