SPORT WEST ORGANIZATION JOINS THE OC SPORT GROUP, A LEADING PLAYER IN THE SPORTS WORLD

The Nantes events agency, Sport Ouest Organization, joins the OC Sport group (subsidiary of the Télégramme group), a key player in the sporting world, particularly in outdoor sports and professional sailing.

The two entities, recognized for their creativity, their responsibility and their territorial roots, produce and organize unique sporting events. They are experts in the general coordination of events: management of participants, public and private partnerships and volunteers, logistics, marketing and communication. They strive to offer the most beautiful courses to provide unique experiences for athletes.

OC Sport, based in Lorient via its subsidiary OC Sport Pen Duick, organizes major events in professional sailing (Route du Rhum Destination Guadeloupe, The Transat CIC, Solitaire du Figaro, Arkéa Ultim Challenge-Brest, Transat Paprec, etc.) and in outdoor endurance sports in Lausanne via its subsidiary OC Sport Suisse (Generali Genève Marathon, La Tour Genève Triathlon, Run Mate by Core Lean, Triathlon du Mont-Blanc, etc.). For its part, Sport Ouest Organization organizes the Abalone Marathon de Nantes, La Duchesse and manages the Foulée des Géants at Puy du Fou.

Through this merger, the two companies are combining their strengths to accentuate their development in the West of France.

Already established in Brittany to manage some of the most beautiful offshore races in the world, OC Sport intends to strengthen its positioning in the French market for outdoor sporting events and consolidate its leading position in the sports industry.

With passionate employees sharing common values, the OC Sport group aims to offer quality events providing unique experiences for participants and volunteers, while supporting communities and partners.

Naturally, all outdoor sporting events in the West of France will be organized with respect for the territories by following the guideline instilled by OC Sport a few years ago: Rethink Sport.

Julien Gaborieau , founder of Sport Ouest Organization: “The entire Sport Ouest Organization team and I are delighted to join the OC Sport group. It is an immense pride to participate in the development of one of the leaders in events. From my first discussions with Benjamin Chandelier, I was convinced by the group's project. We share a common passion for sport, with the greatest respect for nature. The company's philosophy and the values held by OC Sport, particularly on the environmental level, convinced me of the obviousness of this merger. As a company organizing sporting events, it is our responsibility to act. We need to rethink the way we organize our events, to drive change towards a cleaner future.“

Benjamin Chandelier , general manager of OC Sport Outdoor: “This development in Nantes allows the group to have a greater territorial coverage in the outdoor world, promoting proximity with local players. This merger with Sport Ouest Organization responds to the desire of Groupe Télégramme, owner of OC Sport, to produce endurance sporting events in the great west of France.”

Hervé Favre, president of OC Sport: “We are delighted with this merger which, I am convinced, will bring new projects. This new establishment, in the West of France, will also be facilitated by future synergies with the sailing teams of the OC Sport group, based in Lorient and will benefit from unfailing support from the Télégramme Group, whose influence on these lands is important."
